About the group

The Research Team Econ-Natura conducts research and consultancy on the environmental and social consequences of environmental catastrophes, energy, forest and agricultural production. It has a strong emphasis on multi- disciplinary, bringing scientists from different disciplines together. Members of the team come from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds, including natural sciences, agricultural economics, forest economics, and business administration. In our research, we adopt approaches from these areas and other related disciplines.

The Research team Econ-Natura is integrated within IDEGA, a research Institute of Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), located in Galicia-Spain. The research members are faculty members of Economics and Business Administration and PhD students from IDEGA, all from USC. International collaborations with other faculty members in different international institutions, including among others, professor John B. Loomis at Colorado State University (U.S.), professor Rodolfo Nayga Jr. at Texas A&M (U.S), and professor Paulo Nunes at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (Italy) help the research group to expand its international scope.
